Kedah government’s investment holding company, Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB), clarified that Muhamad Sobri Osman, a non-independent and non-executive director, was remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on July 19. The investigation is not related to BDB and does not affect its operations. BDB will monitor the situation and take necessary action as required by the Main Market Listing Requirements and applicable laws. The MACC is investigating MBI Kedah for alleged misappropriation and abuse of power in rare earth mining.
