KUALA LUMPUR: The government is set to make a major announcement regarding RM25 billion worth of national projects as part of the Energy Transition Roadmap. This highly anticipated roadmap will be officially unveiled on July 27, as announced by Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli. As part of the government’s efforts to reform the economy, the first phase of the roadmap will comprise 10 national flagship energy transition projects that will see collaboration with the private sector. Minister Rafizi emphasized the significance of these projects, particularly in light of the global investment landscape which has witnessed a surge in investments in energy transition projects since the onset of the pandemic. In view of the government’s unwavering commitment to long-term structural reforms, Minister Rafizi expressed confidence that these projects will not only attract a substantial inflow of investments but also contribute to the overall improvement of the Malaysian Ringgit’s performance. – Bernama
