KUALA LUMPUR: Aeon Credit Service, Citaglonal, SCIB, Censof, and Fajarbaru Builder are among the companies making recent corporate announcements, according to Apex Research.

In the first quarter of fiscal year 2024, Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd reported a 39.07% decline in net profit, amounting to RM99.36 million.

Ikhlas Kamarudin, the director of Citaglobal Bhd, has sold off a 5.5% stake and is no longer a substantial shareholder.

Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, the former chairman of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB), has also ceased to be a shareholder in the company. This comes as his 139.67 million shares, equivalent to a 23.996% stake, were force-sold.

Censof Holdings Bhd has been awarded a RM13.38 million contract by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). The contract is for the development of a financial management system.

Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd’s subsidiary has secured a RM7.36 million contract from the Australian Department of Defence. The contract is for the planning phase of military facilities redevelopment.

The US market experienced a rebound, with investors anticipating the release of June’s CPI and PPI data later this week.

European markets also saw an increase following low inflation data from China.

Locally, the FBM KLCI gained 5.39 points or 0.39% to reach 1383.06 points.

“Following yesterday’s rebound, the FBM KLCI is expected to remain sideways above its support of 1,372 points until next month’s state elections,” stated Apex Research.
