Velesto Energy Bhd, through its subsidiary Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd, has secured a lucrative contract worth RM60.6 million from PTTEP HK Offshore Ltd, PTTEP Sabah Oil Ltd, and PTTEP Sarawak Oil Ltd. The contract involves the provision of a 10,000 jack-up drilling rig.
According to Velesto’s filing with Bursa Malaysia, the contract entails providing drilling rig services for PTTEP’s upcoming drilling program. Velesto will allocate its state-of-the-art NAGA 3 rig for this project.
“Scheduled to commence in February 2023, the contract requires drilling two firm wells,” stated a spokesperson from Velesto.
