This week, social media was abuzz over a video showing a famous Muslim preacher coming to the aid of a homeless person in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was then revealed that the tattooed woman is actually an influencer with over 960k followers on TikTok!
Following the revelation, many people called out the ustaz for using religion for content’s sake. Among the many who have been very vocal in criticising his actions include rapper Caprice. He took to his Instagram yesterday to share the viral video, accompanied with a (rather) sarcastic caption.
“Let us all together help this homeless model with 900k followers from Indonesia and support her new product. God willing, it will help her overcome her difficulties. I feel bad for her. She’s sleeping on the roadside wearing a skirt. Fortunately, there’s an ‘ustaz’ who came to her rescue,” the local celeb captioned his post.
In his subsequent posts on Instagram Story, Caprice (real name Ariz Ramli) stated that he has been trying to expose the preacher’s true character for a long time. According to him, “Many people didn’t believe me. Praise God, the truth revealed itself. Don’t get me started (on spilling more tea about the ustaz).”
The “Abang Nak Tegur” star also revealed that he has been receiving tons of apologies from those who were previously skeptical of his actions towards the preacher. In response to that, Caprice wrote, “Chill, guys. I was never mad at the netizens. If I had issues with the netizens, I’ve forgiven them a long time ago. We only have the case that has been ongoing since 2021.”
For those in the dark, the beef between Caprice and the preacher has been ongoing for years now. More on the drama here.
