Weddings are meant to be a joyous and momentous occasion for friends and families to witness the love between two people. Dr. Amalina Che Bakri recently just had her wedding ceremony with her husband Alexander Charles in Malaysia even though they’ve been married since 2021.
After the happy couple celebrated their marriage on the bride’s side in her home country, it was time to hold another reception on the groom’s side in the United Kingdom but unfortunately, some people got the wrong idea and accused them of holding a “Christian” wedding.
Dr. Amalina and her husband Alex recently held a sweet and intimate wedding ceremony in the UK, where it was attended by close friends and family. The Malaysian doctor looked stunning in a white wedding dress as she and her husband held hands while walking down the aisle with guests gracefully throwing flower petals during their exit.
Photos and videos of the ceremony were posted online; however, that resulted in some misunderstanding. A few Malaysian netizens had the impression that the mother-of-one held a Christian wedding based on how the ceremony looked in the photos. They even assumed that the man who was standing in between the couple was a priest, who officiated the wedding.
It didn’t take long for the surgeon to clarify that it was not a Christian wedding but a simple Garden party-themed wedding. “The man in the middle was the emcee. My mother recited poetry in Malay. Me, my husband and our friends gave our speeches. Do not spread slander. Think before you comment,” she said in response to the accusations.
The original comments by these netizens have since been deleted. Thankfully, most comments by Malaysian netizens were positive as they raved about how beautiful the wedding looked. For your information, Dr. Amalina and Alex Charles tied the knot back in April 2021 and were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Arabella Mia in October last year.
Congratulations to the couple on their breathtaking wedding receptions and may they have a blissful journey ahead.
