Yikes, looks like another shocking sex scandal has erupted in Korea. Yesterday (Sunday, 25th June), a woman came forward to call out football player Hwang Ui Jo (황의조) of cheating on her, in addition to gaslighting (emotionally abusing) multiple women.
According to Koreaboo, the woman uploaded an explosive post in which she claimed that she used to be in a relationship with Hwang. In her post, she also claimed that the footballer had done this to several women, including celebrities.
“I used to date Hwang Ui Jo. He has gaslighted several women by pretending as if they were dating to sleep with them before ending the relationship saying he had to go overseas. There are so many victims like me, including celebrities,” the alleged ex-GF wrote.
“He is currently dating celebrities, influencers, and non-celebrities, all at the same time. I am not sure how many more victims there are,” she added in her post. That’s not all! The woman also accused Hwang of storing numerous private photos and videos of his girlfriends on his phone. She also shared a screenshot taken from an alleged NSFW clip of the footballer. It was reported that the woman leaked the video after hacking into his phone.
Following the revelation, the 30-year-old has set his Instagram on private mode. However, Hwang Ui Jo’s management agency, UJ Sports, immediately denied the allegations. “First, we would like to apologise to the fans for causing concern. We have become aware of unfounded rumors and sexual harassment targeting Hwang Ui Jo. Henceforth, we are investigating who started these rumors and leaks,” the company stated.
They added, “Currently, all the contents uploaded online about the player are false, and we will be taking strict legal action against those who spread slander and defame the player. We strongly condemn the fake rumors that have negatively impacted the player, and we will take strict legal action against those spreading unfounded rumors.”
For those who are curious, Hwang is currently a striker for the Seoul Football Club and also the South Korean national team. He was in a relationship with T-ara member Hyomin back in January 2022. Their romance didn’t last long, as the duo broke up after only four months of dating.
