Directed by Mak Ho Pong and produced by Virginia Lok, “Endless Battle” (無間一戰) is a Hong Kong cop action movie, starring Bosco Wong, Michael Tse, Joel Chan, Cheung Kwok Keung, Alice Chan, Sisley Choi and many more. To promote his soon-to-be-released action film, Joel Chan (陳山聰) was recently in IOI City Mall to talk to the local press.

Fans are excited to see Joel reunite with Bosco and Michael after 10 years. This was actually one of the main reason that drew the 46-year-old star to this project. “It’s really different to meet Michael Tse on production again. We used to talk about where is a good place to hang out when we were filming. Now we discuss about our children and being fathers,” said Joel.

In “Endless Battle”, Joel takes on the villainous role of Max, who is the son of drug lord Dragon Kwan (a ruthless scheming leader). “I put 100% in every one of the action scenes and give it the best I can do,” the Hong Kong actor was quoted as saying, adding that he wanted to do most the stunts himself instead of relying on a stunt double.

If you’ve seen the trailer, you’d know that “Endless Battle” is packed with action scenes. With so many fight scenes, did Joel got injured during filming? “There was a scene where Bosco Wong’s stunt double and I were filming a scene. I was going to throw him against the wall but when I grabbed his clothes, I twisted my finger that I had to wear a finger support for a few weeks,” he recalled.

When asked if his wife Apple Ho (何麗萍) ever gets worried, Joel replied, “I try not to tell her! Having said that, I always try my best to be careful; but in showbiz, we as actors should not be too ‘constricting’, otherwise our portrayal of the character won’t be authentic to the audience.” If you’re wondering whether his baby boy Jaco Chan is a fan of his work, Joel quipped that the little infant is already imitating his action moves.
