Fame tends to follow child stars into their adult days, mainly because their fans remain fond of them. Well, artist Angeline Khoo (邱燕妮, 阿妮) of former child-girl group 七仙女 (Seven Fairies) and 四个女生 (M-Girls) recently took fans for a trip down memory lane with an unexpected photo!
Most of these child-girl groups have disbanded years ago, for various reasons. But, it seems the girls themselves have not forgotten their fellow friends and members in the industry. Recently, Angeline blessed fans with a photo of some of the girls at 快乐小天使’s Jeanie Liew (小青)’s wedding!
“My childhood singing partners,” Angeline captioned the adorable photo. “28 years of friendship.” From the photos, Angeline could be seen commemorating Jeanie’s special moment with Four Golden Princess (四千金) member Samantha Ee Kai Chee (凯儿) and the bride herself.
The photos were uploaded yesterday (30th May), much to the delight of their fans. Several cooed over how sweet they looked, while others were simply ecstatic to see their favourite child-stars be married. Some also pointed out that both Jeanie and Samantha are already moms. This prompted fans to ask Angeline when would be her turn, but she only laughed and told them to “Wait a while longer.”
Although Jeanie’s Instagram is kept private, she has shared her child Renie’s Instagram. Samantha too announced her second child early last year, which she had with Datuk Tai Huat Chang, president of G.E. Mining Sdn Bhd. Samantha has not been seen in the entertainment industry for quite awhile, which is why fans were happy to see her together with her old friends again. However, some did wonder if she is pregnant again.
Well, we’re certain fans got a huge surge of nostalgia from their little meetup. Unfortunately, Jeanie did share that she didn’t have much time to spend with Angeline during the wedding. But, we hope they’ll be able to meet up again in their own time to catch up!
