After admitting to a sexual scandal a couple of weeks ago, Taiwanese TV host Mickey Huang (黃子佼) has since been making headlines. He apologised for his misdemeanor through three since-deleted videos and even went as far as to expose other big celebrities for their past misconduct.
Since then, it’s as if the TV host has fallen off the face of the earth. He stopped all his work in the entertainment circle, and most things on his social media have been deleted. Recently, it seems his private Facebook account was set to public for a while and most content on his page had been removed.
Ever since he was accused of sexual harassment, the once pristine image Mickey upheld was instantly ruined. Thereafter, many of his social media accounts have been removed. Among the famous social media platforms, only his Weibo account was still active, although it has been 3 months since his last post there.
On 26th June 2023, the TV host’s private Facebook account was made public for a short moment. His profile picture and banner were removed and no content was found. It was as if his account had been abandoned. What was left were only his past Facebook stories and the personal profile info that reads, “I, Mickey Huang, manage and update this account myself, every content on this private account is open to the public, but there would be differences from the fan page.”
Said fan page account could not also be found on Facebook. The fan page had been running for many years now and it was updated constantly in the past. It even had a following of almost 450k, however, now, the account has disappeared from Facebook, along with his private account.
Will Mickey remove his Weibo account eventually as well? How long will he be off the grid before coming back into the spotlight? Only time will tell.
