Just last year, Astro’s news anchor Irene Sua (蔡心惠) revealed that she officially married her navy beau Chan Jun Kwan. Unfortunately, her marriage was held in a rush during the 2022 general elections as the duo were juggling full schedules.
Well, all good things come in time and it’s no exception for Irene. Over the recent weekend, Irene and her hubby held a navy wedding with their family and friends in attendance. However, during the wedding, one of her friends openly wondered if she is already pregnant!
Irene Sua had shared the news of her proposal in June, before the duo officiated their marriage in November 2022. Irene had been very happy to hold the title of “Mrs. Chan” and “Navy wife” but admitted they didn’t have time for a full fledge wedding. As such, on 27th May, Irene and her hubby held a navy wedding to commemorate their marriage.
Posts from her Instagram Story showed Irene walking down the aisle with her husband as they followed a procession of navy men, with bagpipes playing. Friends added that the duo also held the Arch of Swords ceremony at their wedding. As Irene herself said later in an Instagram post: “In this way, I’ve married myself (away). Please give me more advice in the future.”
The ceremony also gave Irene’s friends a chance to tease the bride. “Congrats, congrats,” they shouted as they recorded Irene. “The (news) anchor’s big wedding, is there pregnancy (in the air)?” someone asked. Irene played along, patting her stomach while laughing, but did not confirm or deny the statement.
Well, we sincerely hope the couple had a wonderful wedding and wish them all the best as they continue living that married life! And who knows? Perhaps Irene will have more good news to bless her followers with after this.
