Earlier this week, the internet was set ablaze after a video showing a woman reciting the Islamic sacred phrase Bismillah while visiting a Buddhist temple in Nepal made its way on TikTok. Many pointed out that the lady in the video looked similar to the infamous cosmetics tycoon Dato’ Seri Vida.

The video immediately caught the attention of DS Vida’s daughter, Cik B. She took to her TikTok and clarified that the woman in the viral video is not her mom. Meanwhile, the Qu Puteh entrepreneur also emphasised that she would never go to the extent of mocking Islam just for content’s sake.

“The woman in the video is not me! I know I’ve done a lot of controversial stuffs, but I would never go as far as to worshipping other God than Allah. The lady that you saw in the video online is not me. A lot of people attacked me, without asking for clarifications from me,” DS Vida told Kosmo.

The “Ku Ikhlaskan” singer further explained, “I would never worship other God than Allah. Although I often dress weirdly, always being loud and likes to poke fun on social media, I know my limit as a Muslim. I’ll just ignore what the people say, as long as I’ve cleared the air on the matter. Of course, I would never dress like a Buddhist nun and go to a Buddhist temple. It doesn’t make sense. Plus, when did I travelled to Nepal?”

According to the publication, the lady in the viral clip is actually Turkish singer Bülent Ersoy. The video was taken during her visit to a Buddhist place of worship in Nepal back in 2017.
