Dato’ Seri Vida loves sharing her daily life on socials – unfortunately that sometimes land her in hot water. The cosmetics tycoon took to her Instagram yesterday (Wednesday, 5th July) to share a video taken during her family holiday in Semporna, Sabah.
In the video, Vida and her kids, Cik B and Kacak, were seen on a boat trip. Cik B (real name Nur Edlynn Zamileen) seemed to be upset after seeing her mother favouring her younger brother over her. To make up for “neglecting” her, Vida then tried to reconcile with her daughter, by kissing her on the lips!
After the kiss, Cik B smiled and started joking with her mom. “You can’t be sulking for too long, right @cikb_havoc66?” the “Ku Ikhlaskan” singer wrote in the caption. Scrolling through the comments, many netizens didn’t react too kindly to Vida’s affectionate gesture towards her own daughter.
One netizen in the comments also told the celebrity entrepreneur to educate herself regarding the matter. “Mouth-to-mouth kissing is not allowed, even with your own children. You need to learn about sex education too, Dato’, so that you’ll know what you can and cannot do (with your kids),” Instagram user @nurizzkori commented.
“Please, kissing your child on the lips is considered inappropriate. Not to mention, her daughter is all grown-up. Kissing in public is a definite no-no,” @tim_aziz added in the comments. Here are some of the comments we noticed:
