Apart from her business and many controversies regarding her lifestyle choices, one can’t deny that Nur Sajat is willing to go above and beyond for her family, especially her children. While she’s had some drama with her sister in the past, she still shares stories about her parents during her live streams.

However, despite having shared much of her personal life online, not much is known about the entrepreneur’s complicated relationship with her father until recently.

During a live stream earlier this month, Nur Sajat decided to share a more personal story about her relationship with her father when she was growing up. According to the public figure, she once hated her father for the way he treated her.

“He was very aggressive and would beat me all the time. He’d always compare me to my brother so it made me believe he just didn’t like me,” she said. The 37-year-old also revealed that she’d often try to find ways to please her father and get his approval. It wasn’t until much later in life that her father thanked her for paying for the family’s trip to perform Umrah (Islamic pilgrimage).

“I confessed to my dad that I really didn’t like him growing up cause of the way he treated but I’m also thankful cause I became independent. I never had to rely on him,” she told her viewers. The “Makhluk Penggoda” singer also understands why her father was sometimes hostile, citing that her feminine persona played a huge factor. “No father wants to accept that they have a transgender child. That’s the reality,” she said.

Despite the harsh treatment during her childhood, Nur Sajat revealed that she holds no grudge against her father and still loves him very much. She ended her story by saying, “Cherish your parents while they’re still around. At the end of the day, they’re still my parents, no matter how bad things were, I wouldn’t be here without them.”

It’s good to see that the two have mended their relationship over the years. Hopefully, they’ll get to see each other again one day.
