Hong Kong actor and director Stephen Chow (周星驰) has made countless films in his lifetime. Because of his comedic personality, he was even given the title ‘King of Comedy’ and has gain recognition for his work worldwide. Of course, many fans would know him for his comedy action films – “Shaolin Soccer” and “Kung Fu Hustle”.
Yesterday (22th June 2023), the King of Comedy celebrated his 61th birthday. On this special day, he shared some really good news to his fans. After 21 years since the release of “Shaolin Soccer”, he announced the filming of a female version – “Shaolin Women’s Soccer” and is looking to recruit actresses from around the world.
On his Instagram, Stephen posted an Instagram reel showing the first draft of “Shaolin Woman’s Soccer” with the background music from “Shaolin Soccer”. The draft has the year 2023 along with the date of his birthday, 0622, hinting that it was drafted pretty recently.
The post urges women from around the world to send in their applications. “I only have one wish today, and it is to spend an unforgettable time with a large group of pretty women, preferably young, curvy, smart and ATHLETIC. All countries are welcome, the more the better! I’m not afraid of a large crowd of people, I’m just scared that you’re not ‘pretty enough’!”
Those who are interested and meet the conditions above are welcome to submit their recent photos and personal information to the email stated in the post. The director also warned that any kind of photoshopped photos will be rejected. “You won’t get your way if you submit any kind of photoshopped photos. Our team won’t agree to it, and the international community won’t agree to it even more!”
