It’s been almost a week since the news broke out that singer Talitha Tan’s mother Jenny Wong was found dead at a waterfall in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor. The deceased went on a trip to the location with a friend late in the afternoon and their bodies were found pinned between rocks, believed to be swept away by the strong current following a heavy rain upstream.
The singer was distraught after receiving the news of her mother’s death but it appears that she still has questions as to what exactly happened to her.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 27th June), Talitha Tan posted a screenshot of a news article on her Instagram story. From the screenshot, she highlighted the part where it was written that authorities received a call at around 5:30pm regarding the tragic incident. The musician claimed that she’s being kept in the dark about what actually happened to her mother and her friend.
“I’m sorry guys but I need help for closure. The police and doctors have not been informative and I believe I deserve every right to know exactly what happened to my mum,” the singer wrote. The local talent said that she wish to know who called the authorities and based on the timing, she also claimed to have been on the phone with her mother at 5:10pm that day, asking her to come home as it was getting late.
“I just need to know what happened to them. I can’t let this go, please, can someone tell me what to do?” she ended her Story. Apart from the unanswered questions, the “6HRS” songstress also posted videos of her spending time with her late mother.
Talitha also posted a video of her and her sister putting their mother’s ashes in her final resting place with a caption that reads, “You were my biggest supporter, mum. Thank you for showing me what unconditional love feels like. I will forever be grateful for all you have done for us. I love you, mum.”
She ended the post by thanking everyone for their love and support for her family. We do hope that Talitha and her family will get the answers they need in order to move on from this tragedy.
