We sashayed the pink carpet with Barbie, got a buzz out of Tesla, brought the haus down with Hausboom Music, went to bed with sharks, and MUCH MORE! We were THERE, and we were vibing like a boss! Just check out our social diary for this past week (don’t be jelly!):
Longchamp X Toiletpaper Collab
Designer label Longchamp is known for its rich heritage of creative collaborations, and its latest partnership with mischievous art publication Toiletpaper has resulted in another mesmerizing collection that beautifully merges fashion, art and pop culture – all with a sense of humour. It was a treat to visit the pop-up, which was recently unveiled at The Gasket Alley in Petaling Jaya.
In addition to various on-ground activities, we were impressed that Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari (Toiletpaper’s founders) were able to breathe new life into the iconic Le Pliage bag with 5 different playful and captivating images. Using Gallic icons as inspirations, each of the designs (baguette, French bulldog, the sprinting horse logo and leather pipe) offers various points of view. “We felt their bold aesthetic and lighthearted approach to life tallied with Longchamp’s colourful vision of optimistic luxury,” said creative director Sophie Delafontaine on Longchamp’s collaboration with Toiletpaper. We couldn’t agree more!

‘Barbie’ Gala Premiere At Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
If you love Barbie, then this is the movie for you! If you don’t love Barbie, then this is still the movie for you! We joined other Barbies and Kens to walk the Pink Carpet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for the premiere of the highly-anticipated ‘Barbie’ movie, recently. Everyone came dressed in their best pink outfit and we couldn’t get over how FABULOUS everyone looked!
Of course, the movie itself was amazing – 10 out of 10, we highly recommend it, and would definitely watch it again! ‘Barbie’ is out now in cinemas everywhere, so be sure to watch it with your friends and don’t forget to wear something pink! Just cuz!

W Kuala Lumpur’s Moonlit Mirage Mooncake Collection
W Kuala Lumpur is set to once again steal the scene for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, with the launch of its phenomenal Moonlit Mirage Mooncake Collection. During the launch, we first got to see, touch and model the fashionable bags that contain the mooncakes – they’re definitely ‘drip’ and ‘Gucci’! We loved them!
Next we had the pleasure of sampling the mooncakes, which were the Lotus Seed Paste Double Yolk, Mix Nuts, Red Bean with Tangerine Peel, Pure White Lotus, Black Sesame with Yam Eggs and, Jasmine with Red Dates, Puer with Lychee and Seasalt Chocolate. We also tried the booze-lovers’ delight of the Moonlit Mirage Mixology Kit, a professional mixologist-at-home paraphernalia set, with a side of mooncake. Cheers to W Kuala Lumpur!

Tesla Arrives In Malaysia
It was only a matter of time before the biggest EV player in the game arrived on our shores – and we were on hand when it made its debut! Tesla made their grand entrance into the Malaysian market at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur – and it was a sight to behold. And you don’t have long to wait to go electric – pre-ordering for the Tesla Model Y has begun!
If you’re unsure whether or not to get your own EV, simply swing by Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s Centre Court from now until October 31st to get hands-on experience with the Tesla Model Y. If you order one now, you can expect to receive the car of tomorrow in 2024.

The House Of Suntory Soiree
We learned the Art of Japanese Highball at a soiree hosted by The House of Suntory, featuring the Suntory Whisky Kabukin. The skyscraping venue of S35 Skybar & Restaurant in PJ was packed with whisky lovers, influencers, celebrities and members of the media – but make no mistake: the star of the evening was Kabukin, famed for its notes of Yamazaki and Hakushu Bourbon cask, with subtle hints of oak and popcorn.
We bopped to the the beats of DJ Dope Onigiri, mingled with the crowd, and quenched our thirst with Japan’s number 1 best-selling whisky since 1937 – and boy were we thirsty! Here’s a toast to the Suntory Whisky Kabukin!

GSC BBCC Grand Launch x ‘Barbie’ Premiere
We were at ANOTHER Barbie movie premiere, and this time, it was at the prettiest cinema in town. It was the grand launch of the newest addition to the Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) family: GSC Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC). Located beside the Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport BBCC, this new cinema is themed after retro cinemas, bringing an aesthetic like no other.
And of course, we were treated to a screening of the prettiest movie now showing: ‘Barbie’! Along with the grand launch of GSC BBCC was the premiere of ‘Barbie’, the highly-anticipated film about the world’s most famous doll. Guests came dressed in their best pink looks, and partied at the new theatre which was decorated in a way that Barbie would approve of.

Kuala Lumpur Warehouse Project 2.0 PC
We were front and centre at the press conference for the KL Warehouse Project (KLWP) 2.0 to get all the details on the exciting event coming up this August! The first-edition electronic dance music festival went live last January – and they’re coming back for round 2 to showcase more of what techno music has to offer. The lineup for the upcoming EDM fest includes world-renowned DJs like Danny Avila, Maddix, Olly James, Marie Vaunt and Lister, plus highly-anticipated local acts; Chuckiess & Whackboi, Vision X, Smash and Nitrozeus.
The event will go down at Megastar Arena in Sungei Wang on Saturday, 26th August. With the new venue, organiser Leo Global Link hopes that fans will have a better and safer space to enjoy the music and dance their hearts out. Due to popular demand, the Early Bird and Phase 1 tickets have sold out, and Phase 2 tickets are quickly selling out – so grab yours before it’s too late!

Hausboom Music 2023 PC
Brace yourselves for the ultimate music experience! The Hausboom Music concert is returning with its biggest-ever lineup to date. This year’s music fest brings over 35 popular musical acts and will take place at the Sepang International Circuit on the 9th and 10th of September 2023.
Among the performers set to rock the stage are legends such as Search, Ella, Datuk M. Nasir, Joe Flizzow, Hujan, Exists, Spider, Bunkface, and SonaOne. Astro Showcase 2023
Astro recently held the Astro Showcase at ZEPP Kuala Lumpur, and we were treated to a spectacular showcase of performances by a vast line-up of well-known celebrities from Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong! The one-of-a-kind Astro Showcase presentation comprised a never-before-seen musical that presented Astro’s wide variety of cutting-edge original programmes, including gripping dramas, blockbuster films, entertaining children’s shows, major signature reality shows, and live sporting events. The ninety-minute-long musical number was directed by actress, singer, film producer, and musical theater enthusiast, Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina.

Miss CosmoWorld Launch
Budding or returning beauty queens, are you ready? Because the 6th edition of the Miss CosmoWorld pageant is happening! During its press conference, held at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, we got to meet several beauty queens – from the legendary Carrie Lee, to Miss CosmoWorld 2022 winner, Meiji Aculana Cruz, and many more. The hall was bedazzled by their presence!
We and many others were also delighted to discover that this time, Miss CosmoWorld 2023 will be boasting the biggest cash prize in the pageant’s history – a whopping RM1.1 million, which includes sponsored perks and benefits! Finalist selection will be held on 23rd September 2023 via auditions at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, with the Grand Finals of Miss CosmoWorld Malaysia 2023 being held in October.

Shark Awareness Day Celebration @ Aquaria KLCC
We got to join in on the celebration of Shark Awareness Day at Aquaria KLCC, recently. A collaboration between Malaysia’s largest oceanarium, the Ministry of Education and the Department of Fisheries Malaysia, the celebration aimed to help dispel fear and misinformation surrounding sharks, and raise awareness of the importance of and the threats faced by the ocean creature.
At the celebration, we also witnessed the relaunch of Aquaria’s ‘Sleep With Sharks’ programme, which aims to help children learn more about the ocean and the sharks that inhabit it. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was done underwater at the Aquaria Aquatheatre by Aquaria Managing Director Dato’ Simon Foong and “Ocean Man’.
