Jemput Makan makes its annual return to Sunway Resort Hotel with a nostalgic and traditional gastronomic experience amidst a brand-new venue, complimented by a setting of gold and aqua with a touch of Arabian glamour. Inspired by the local expression ‘Jemput Makan’, this year’s theme “Nostalgic Indulgence with Malaysian Treasured Recipes” celebrates Malaysia’s unique culinary Malay heritage, where diners can experience classic must-have dishes and other traditional favourites specially prepared by their culinary team. This year’s offerings will be available at Sunset Terrace, the swanky brand-new poolside restaurant located at Level 1, promising an adventure of gastronomy discovery.
Taking centre stage this year will be a number of stalls outdoors flowing in to an extensive buffet spread indoors. Explore their lavish buffet spread of authentic local flavours and international recipes. Helmed by Chef De Cuisine Afiq Matkhir, together with Sous Chef Tournant Mohamad Yatim Supaat and Senior Sous Chef, Chef Halid Bin Hm Burus, some of their must-try nostalgic and traditional recipes include the Daging Bakar Harimau Menangis, Kambing Golek, Sotong Raja, Ayam Pasu and many other dishes. There’ll also be an array of Chinese, and Indian dishes available throughout the month to give you a dose of good local food.

Concorde Hotel
With the fasting month just around the corner, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur is serving up a wholesome buffet this Ramadan at Melting Pot Cafe – the Gabungan Duo Rasa Ala Kampung & Thai. The hearty Buka Puasa buffet spread features an exciting myriad of flavours – traditional kampung classic dishes and Thai specialities. Amongst the not-to-be-missed traditional kampung dishes by Malay Chef Mohamad Yusoff are Sup Gearbox, Sup Tulang Rusuk, Sup Ekor, Laksa Johor, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Percik Kelantan, Kambing Masak Hitam Manis, Daging Rendang Tok, Daging Rendang Minang, Masak Lemak Udang Harimau bersama Rebung, Ikan Tenggiri Berlado, Kari Kepala Ikan Merah Bendi, Gulai Tunjang Minangkabau and Nasi Briyani with Roasted Whole Lamb amongst others.
To make it more special this year, the Thai specialities curated by Thai Chef Nopporn Nutto, feature a Thai buffet section offering delectable soups and salads, Tom Yum Gai Nam Koon (Red Tom Yam Chicken Soup), Tom Yum Gai Nam Sai (Clear Tom Yam Chicken Soup), Nuea Yang Nam Tok (Grilled Thai Beef Salad), Yum Woon Sen (Thai Glass Noodle Salad with Seafood), Larb Gai (Spicy Minced Chicken Salad), and Yum Ma Muang (Thai Mango Salad with Peanuts).
