Have you ever ordered something and it didn’t turn out the way you expected? Either the item’s quality was poor or it could be the case of false advertising. Sometimes the ads you see are simply for illustration purposes, so it’s best to manage your expectations.

Otherwise, you might end up as disappointed as this man who wanted to try the new KFC Juicy Whole Chicken promotion but it didn’t turn out exactly as how he imagined. The plastic package had the words “We’ve got your back“, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Watch:

Yesterday (Thursday, 30th March), a content creator known as @bumilangit posted his honest food review on Twitter on the new KFC Juicy Whole Chicken, a promotion where you can only pre-order at selected KFC outlets. According to the columnist, he drove all the way to Gombak to purchase the dish to review it. “This is my honest review, I was not paid for this though I did pay full price,” he tweeted.

Much to his and the audience’s disappointment, as soon as he opened the food packaging, the size of the whole chicken turned out to be extremely different than how it was shown in the advertisements. “Look how tiny this chicken is. This is like the size of chicken during MCO,” he wrote in the subtitles. The Twitter user compared the size of the chicken to the size of his palm, adding to the humour and ridiculousness of how small the meat was.

“Just cutting the chicken makes me sad, cause this chicken can only feed one mouth,” he said. To further showcase his disappointment with his order, the reviewer pulled out a measuring tape to measure the size of each piece of the chicken. The video went viral now reaching over 1.5 million views, 4.7k retweets, 1.1k quotes, and 7k likes at the time of writing.

Netizens shared their disappointment with @bumilangit’s Juicy Whole Chicken. Several also question why it didn’t look like the chicken featured in the video posted by Penang Foodie, as seen above. One netizen claimed that the video shared above was a paid review video which is probably why the food review page got the best quality chicken. However, contrary to what the tweet said, the team from Foodie reached out to us to clarify that their video wasn’t sponsored.

It’s understandable why anyone would feel like they’ve been scammed for not receiving the food they ordered. What do you think? Is this false advertising or was the restaurant just low on supplies?
