July has been an interesting month for many. There were plenty of new products launched, including phones you might want to buy. You may also want a new mobile prepaid package for it. In that case, you’ll want to check for new deals from local telcos. So here is our list of the best mobile prepaid plans for the budget-conscious as of July 2023.
Best prepaid options under RM30
For July 2023, there are some notable changes in prepaid plans. Most notably, Maxis has revamped its Hotlink prepaid offerings, consolidating the various plans into just unlimited or high-speed data options. In the under RM30/month category, Hotlink’s RM25/month plan now offers 20GB (previously 15GB).

Hotlink combining all the different prepaid options is overall a good move. But it does mean that people who prefer having data for specific activities, like streaming or social media, lose out on extra benefits. Anyway, we’ll be posting our postpaid and home fibre plans soon, so take note if you’re interested in those.
Well, that’s it for July 2023. As usual, we’d like to know your thoughts about the local prepaid packages. Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more articles like this.
