The Klang Valley is home to numerous things, including the trendiest cafes, the most luxurious spas, the most happening entertainment venues, and, you guessed it, the biggest malls! Visiting malls is a quintessential part of the Malaysian lifestyle, especially as at least one is just a stone’s throw away from you. Yet, among all the malls in the Klang Valley you may believe are the best, we raise you Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall!
Look, they may appear to you to be “ordinary” malls, but we believe these two are more than meets the eye. So, rather than gushing about how much we adore them, we’ve compiled a neat list of seven reasons why they rock:
Joint Malls
Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall are two of the few malls that are attached. When two malls are combined, guests will not notice the overcrowding as much as they would if they were in a single mall. With two malls comes double the retail stores, so customers will have a diverse assortment of stores to choose from, ranging from low-cost to high-end goods and services.
Family-Friendly
While most malls are characterised as family-friendly, these malls offer activities that cater to every single family member’s needs. Want to try bowling for the first time? Head on over to Mid Valley Megamall’s newly-opened Supreme Bowl. Or, planning to belt out a song to your heart’s content with your family? The Gardens Mall’s Redbox offers an exclusive karaoke experience unlike any other.
A Hidden Cafe
In case you haven’t heard, nestled somewhere on the rooftop of The Gardens Mall is a quaint little cafe that is home to delicious food… and rows and rows of books. Red Red Botak Head is located inside BookXcess and was opened in December last year. It’s one of several cafes at the two malls you don’t want to miss out on. With beautiful and stunning interiors accompanied by delectable food and drinks, your cafe-hopping experience will be unforgettable.
Festivity Decorations
During national festivities, Malaysian shopping malls go all out on their decorations – and Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall are no exception. Their decor would rival even the most popular malls in the Klang Valley, and the competition can be very steep. Both malls top themselves each year with stunning displays – and we can’t wait for the next holiday!
Ladies Only BookXcess
The world is not a safe space for the ladies and that includes the bookstore. Hence, BookXcess had opened a ladies only space, perfect for women to enjoy their book-reading journey without the expense of their safety. It’s one of our favourite things about The Gardens Mall as not only do they provide ladies only parking, but ladies only spaces like BookXcess as well.
Diverse Eateries
With two big malls, you obviously would expect tons of eateries. Sure enough, Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens are burgeoning with restaurants, cafes and food courts that give you a hard time in choosing which to go to to fill up your belly. They offer a wide variety of cuisines – so much so that you’d feel like you’re travelling from one country to another. From K-BBQ and Thai dishes to local cuisine and vegan foods, your stomach will have to thank these malls later.
Variety Of Retail Stores
Shoppers at Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall have a field day, as they have literally hundreds of stores to go through. The malls’ shops will basically cater to every need, regardless of where you fall on the financial spectrum. From clothing and electronics to services and accessories – if you’re on the market for something, chances are you’ll find it at the two malls.
Do you think that’s more than enough reason to love both Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall? Tell us what YOU love these malls too!
