When planning your next holiday, you’d definitely want to be careful when selecting the hotels, Airbnbs, or homestays you’re looking to spend a few nights in. The last thing you’d want is for your holiday stay to feel like an absolute nightmare.
This man shared his weekend stay at a homestay building in the middle of a paddy field but the place itself reminded him of another building in a movie where the people’s fate didn’t end very well.
Content creator Aus Meshi recently tweeted his experience of staying at the Padi Sentral homestay in Sekinchan, Selangor over the weekend. The YouTuber expressed how the exterior of the accommodation reminded him of the hit Indonesian horror movie, “Pengabdi Setan: Communion” which takes place in a mysterious haunted apartment building.
“This is where I stayed in Sekinchan. I was instantly reminded of ‘Pengabdi Setan 2. It’s right in the middle of a large open field,” he tweeted. To show how the two buildings looked similar to each other, the netizen provided a photo of both the homestay building and the alleged haunted apartment building where they filmed the horror flick. Needless to say, the resemblance can definitely be seen in the photos.
Thankfully for the Twitter user, he did not experience any supernatural occurrences, nor was he visited by strange suspicious figures with umbrellas in the middle of the night. Instead, he had a wonderful time staying in the establishment. The content creator shared more stunning photos of the homestay as well as activities that are available in the area.
The first tweet went viral, now reaching over 485k views, 2.6k retweets, 177 quote tweets, and 6.3k likes at the time of writing. Netizens commented about the Padi Sentral building with many believing it to be a livestock building for swallows. Others were also creeped out by the building’s exterior, saying it does indeed remind them of “Pengabdi Setan 2”.
Despite what others may think of the building’s design, Padi Sentral offers a comfortable space for its guests as well as a fantastic view of the vast paddy field. You can check out the website for more information. Would you stay here if given the chance?
