Up until the 13th of February, Sunway Pyramid will be donned with red lanterns and bright red traditional Chinese structures, with 福 (Fú), adorning the main centrepiece. Encouraging a safe celebration, shoppers are provided with a QR code for them to send a customised Chinese New Year greetings to their family and loved ones. Not only that, after scanning, they will also be given e-vouchers to redeem from various outlets in the mall!
3) Da Men Mall USJ
In Da Men Mall, you can feel the harmony blossom throughout the whole shopping mall beautiful wisterias and red lanterns hanging overhead. Not only that, but there’s also the “Roaring Bazaar” that lasts until 30th January where you can find decorations, handicrafts, and unique snacks.
4) Intermark Mall
Intermark Mall has also decided to dive deep into the Chinese heritage with their theme of “Opera Opulence” that features festive oriental decorations and cutouts of graceful opera artists. You can also see collections of traditional opera incorporated into fashion with designs, symbols and colours representing the Chinese opera character archetypes.
5) IPC Shopping Centre
This new year, IPC Shopping Centre’s theme of “The Year of the Woohoo: Five Blessings at Your Doorstep” is inspired by the “Wu Hu Jiang” or “Five Tiger Generals”. IPC brings you 5 core blessings; Abundance at their supermarket, Prosperity at their fashion outlets, Happiness when you dine at the F&B outlets, Health obtained from their wellness outlets and longevity at their home and decors shops.
6) Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya
Want to experience a sweet new year? This year, Paradigm Mall PJ is collaborating with our favourite lollipop, Chupa Chups, to transform the mall into a whole oriental garden featuring cherry blossom trees, beautiful lanterns, and a gallery of Chupa Chups best flavours! For CNY, they have put up a magnificent traditional Chinese palace red in colour for you to not only gaze upon, but take pictures with too. It is surrounded by lanterns in all shapes and sizes along with cherry blossom trees. You can also walk through the Spring Blossom Tunnel, hop on the Lantern Carousel or get on board of the Lunar Train.
10) Sunway Putra Mall
Be welcomed by the auspicious red lanterns as you step into Sunway Putra Mall with their theme of #100Blessings that features a huge 福 ‘Fú character propped up at their Main Concourse. For even better photo opportunities, you can check out their Wonder-Fu Room where the whole room is wrapped with Chinese blessings phrases.
11) Fahrenheit88
This Chinese New year, witness the harmony of The Four Arts of qín (琴), qí (棋), shū (书), and huà (画); the aspirations for traditional Chinese scholars to master music, strategy, calligraphy and painting.
