UPDATE: The VR waterslide attraction is not open to public just yet but we’ve been informed that visitors can soon enjoy it during the official launch. In the meantime, there are still a plethora of other waterslides to check out.

    Original article as follows:

What’s one of the best ways to beat the Malaysian heat? Other than tasty frozen desserts and staying indoors, going to a waterpark is definitely the most suitable option for you to have fun and stay cool! We have a few famous ones already and it appears that a new park will be opening pretty soon!

Introducing SplashMania, Gamuda Land’s new waterpark! Located in the Gamuda Cove township at Banting, the park will soon be open to the public on 6th February. What makes this waterpark different from the rest? If you’re a fan of gaming or virtual reality, then this is definitely the place for you to visit. Here’s why:

There are plenty of attractions to see and experience yourself but probably the most unique of them all is the virtual reality-enhanced water slide. What’s even more interesting is that the Atlantis VR attraction is said to be the first-ever VR-implemented water slide in Malaysia. How does it work? It looks like guests are in for a surprise as Gamuda is keeping their lips sealed.

But here’s what we do know, the VR slide is described to be a 250-meter virtual journey through the legendary lost city of Atlantis. It was also reported that the attraction is a giant conveyor slide that can fit large 2-4 person floats so if you’re not the kind to go on big water slides alone (especially wearing the VR headgear) then this is certainly good news for you.
