TikToker Books 6 Domestic Flights to Review Airline Meals

    Fly AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur

Normally, netizens would recommend influencers or content creators to visit a specific restaurant, try their food and post their reviews afterwards. But what if someone ask you to try and review multiple airlines’ meals on the same day?

It sounds outrageous and incredibly expensive, right? Well, it appears that one Malaysian TikToker decided to accept that challenge and post his reviews of airline meals by booking multiple flights within a single day! Watch:

TikToker Mael Lambong Asis recently posted a TikTok video on his channel where he responded to a netizen’s request. The netizen asked the content creator to try and review as many airline meals in just one day. In order to achieve this goal, the Movilion Coffee House director booked a total of 6 domestic flights!

The first flight was an AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan where the TikToker ordered the Sesame Chicken Wrap for breakfast, which he gave a 8/10 rating. The second flight was actually the same flight back to KL where he then tried the airline’s chicken satay (he gave a 9/10 rating). For lunch, the influencer boarded MYAirline (which he booked 4 flights that day) where he tried the BBQ Chicken Rice. He gave the dish a 3/10 rating, much to his disappointment.

When he boarded the same flight again, the traveller ordered the Nasi Briyani, which scored a lower rating of 2/10. For dinner, the young man tried the airline’s Nasi Lemak dish that finally received praise from him together with an 8/10 rating. On his last flight back to KL and for the last meal of the day, Mael ordered the good old Maggi Kari Cup; it was probably his favourite since he rated it 11/10.

Usually, a viral post like this would get mixed reactions from netizens but surprisingly, most comments were positive. Instead of criticising Mael for “wasting” money, netizens were very much impressed by his dedication on completing the airline meals review challenge. Obviously, some were curious to know how much did the multiple trips cost him.

While we may never know how much the TikToker spent on that particular day, at least we now know more about what these airlines have to offer in their menu.
