Even as adults, we canât resist the urgent call of nature, so young kids would probably have an even harder time holding in their âbusinessâ. When that time comes, parents scramble to find a place for their children to relieve themselves, even if itâs not the most appropriate.
Recently, an image of a woman was shared on Twitter where she was attending to her young child as they peed next to a blue and white building. In the caption, the Twitter user sarcastically wrote, âAs usual, Malaysia is the place for people to pee all over the place, right?â. While the Twitter user did not specify the place, another user clarified that the incident happened at Central Market (Pasar Seni) in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
The tweet caught the attention of many Malaysians, who began shaming the mother for allowing her child to urinate next to a public building. Some comments also question why these individuals do so, given that public restrooms are widely available in Malaysia, especially in tourist areas. One commenter even spoke about the effects of public urination, adding that when he jogs in the Kuala Lumpur area, there will be a strong scent of urine in the air.
Many netizens also took the opportunity to speak about their experience with public urinators. While the womanâs nationality is unconfirmed, many believed she was a foreigner, leading them to share stories about other foreigners allowing their children to pee in public places. As advice to parents who want to avoid doing the same, a few commenters suggested bringing diapers when going out.
