HOUSTON, July 20 (Xinhua) – Twelve migrants were discovered packed inside a truck during a police chase in Texas, as reported by local media on Thursday.
Police officers attempted to stop a stolen truck, leading to a short pursuit late Wednesday night in southwest Bexar County, near the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a report from WOAI-TV, NBC television affiliate in San Antonio.
The armed driver eventually halted and was apprehended.
Investigators found ten men and two women inside the trailer, including one pregnant woman.
According to the report, the migrants were from Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico.
