Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, the chairman of Perak infrastructure committee, stated that the Public Works Department received reports of the sinkhole on Friday morning. Immediate action is being taken to repair the hole, with completion expected on the same day.
“For safety purposes, we have temporarily closed one lane near the sinkhole,” Mohammad Nizar said, urging motorists to follow the instructions of traffic controllers and signboards placed in the area.
