CAIRO, July 16 (Xinhua) — According to the official MENA news agency, five individuals lost their lives and 11 sustained injuries in separate building collapses in Egypt’s northern Alexandria and Beheira governorates.
In Rashid City, Beheira governorate, an eight-story building collapsed, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to nine others.
MENA reported that search operations are currently being conducted to locate the missing individuals underneath the debris.
In the Bakus area, located east of Alexandria governorate, three individuals were killed and two were injured when two balconies of a residential building collapsed.
The incident is now under investigation by the public prosecution.
In Alexandria, back in June, a 13-story building collapse claimed the lives of 10 individuals.
