In Hubei, China, a woman had a terrifying experience when she discovered around 60 cockroach eggs in a shampoo bottle she had purchased online, as reported by China Press.
She paid 76 yuan (approximately RM50) for two bottles of shampoo.
Upon using the product, her son was startled after noticing the cockroach eggs inside the bottle.
The expiration dates for the two bottles of shampoo were set for March and May 2026, respectively.
The woman lodged complaints with both the online platform and the manufacturer, who asserted that there are stringent controls in place from production to delivery.
According to the manufacturer, it is highly unlikely for bugs to appear in their products. However, due to the shampoo’s pleasant fragrance, it may attract insects.
