BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) — State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company reported on Sunday that power supply has been restored to nearly 60 percent of the 270 flood-affected villages in Beijing’s districts, including Fangshan, Mentougou, and Changping.
The recent round of rain-triggered floods has heavily impacted Fangshan and Mentougou, making them among the worst-affected areas in Beijing.
Additionally, all 16 residential communities in the urban areas of Fangshan, which experienced power outages, have regained access to electricity.
State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company has dispatched a workforce of 4,620 workers equipped with electric generators and emergency vehicles to Fangshan and Mentougou. Their task is to conduct repair and restoration work on the power grid.
