At Jalan Batu 47, Jalan Simpang Renggam, a 75-year-old male motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a lorry. The incident occurred on Wednesday (Oct 4) at 2.57pm, as reported by Renggam Fire station chief Mohd Nizar Ma’mun. The collision involved a lorry carrying fertiliser and the victim’s motorcycle. The lorry was traveling from Simpang Renggam to Ayer Hitam, while the motorcycle was heading in the opposite direction.
Mohd Nizar revealed that the victim, identified as Musa Awang, was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer from the Health Ministry. Fortunately, the 32-year-old lorry driver, Muhammad Nor Saffeex Zakaria, escaped unharmed. Mohd Nizar further mentioned that the victim’s body has been transferred to the Health Ministry for further procedures.
The operation, led by senior officer II Norhisam Ihwan and seven firemen from Renggam Fire station, concluded at 3.37pm.
