Accountant assaults ex-husband due to unpaid debt.

AMPANG: A 38-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting her ex-husband at a house in Bukit Indah, Ampang, over an unpaid debt. The incident occurred on Sunday (Aug 6) when the victim, a 28-year-old man who was in the process of moving out, was cleaning the rented house at approximately 6.55pm. The suspect, who is an accountant, arrived at the scene and confronted her ex-husband about an outstanding RM87,000 debt. She then proceeded to punch him in the face, hit his head with a tool, and kick his stomach. ACP Mohd Azam Ismail, Ampang Jaya OCPD, stated that the woman was apprehended at around 9.45pm on the same day. The victim and the suspect finalized their divorce on July 11 and have a baby daughter together. The suspect is currently under remand for further investigation. ACP Mohd Azam added that the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which addresses domestic violence incidents causing harm.
