On December 18th, the Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched an additional work team to east China’s Anhui Province in order to provide guidance on preventing and responding to disasters caused by low temperatures, rain, snow, and freezing conditions.
The ministry, along with the office of the national commission for disaster prevention, reduction, and relief, convened meetings with other central departments on Monday to discuss emergency response measures.
During the meeting, the authorities emphasized the importance of strengthening monitoring, forecasts, and the issuance of alerts. They also highlighted the need to ensure the smooth operation of power and logistic networks, as well as timely allocation and distribution of relief funds and materials.
