The Rumah Terbalik in Tamparuli, a popular tourist destination, is currently showcasing AI-generated artwork until May 12 to raise awareness about marine conservation. The exhibition, created using the AI art generator ‘Gencraft’, features the story of ‘The Guardians of the Tides’, a group of fictional sea turtle superheroes, according to Rumah Terbalik owner and Friends of Sea Turtles Education and Research (Foster) president Alexander Yee.
Yee explained that the concept is inspired by the real-life sea turtle conservation efforts on Pulau Libaran in Sandakan, which is spearheaded by Foster. He emphasized that the exhibition highlights the integration of art and technology, serving as a unique platform to promote awareness and inspire action. “It’s not just about art; it’s a call to action, a celebration of creativity, and an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of our oceans,” Yee added.
