KUALA NERUS: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has presented appointment letters to PKR candidates who are set to contest in the Terengganu and Kelantan state elections on Aug 12.
For the state of Terengganu, Wan Muhamad Haikal Ghazali, Eka Lisut, and Osman Umar have received their appointment letters to contest in Wakaf Mempelam, Manir, and Sura, respectively. Additionally, Azan Ismail has been appointed as the party’s candidate in the upcoming Kuala Terengganu parliamentary by-election.
Anwar Ibrahim also handed appointment letters to Kelantan state election candidates, including Zamakh Sari Ibrahim (Pasir Pekan), Syed Mohd Alidustur Syed Md Zain (Panchor), Ezzat Hanuzi (Chetok), Zinda Khalil Sastro Hassan (Tanjong Mas), Aina Sayuty (Pasir Tumboh), Kamaruddin Mat Zin (Limbongan), and Mohd Shukri Ishak (Mengkebang).
During a brief meeting at the VVIP waiting room at Sultan Mahmud Airport, Anwar Ibrahim urged all candidates to engage in a harmonious and healthy campaign. He also reminded them to work closely with the party machinery to ensure effective communication with voters. Anwar Ibrahim expressed his hopes that all candidates under the Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional alliance would achieve victory in the upcoming elections. – Bernama
