ABUJA, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) — Gunmen in central Nigeria have kidnapped at least four students of Nasarawa State University, according to local police. The abduction took place in the victims’ hostel outside the university premises in Keffi, a town located 50 km away from the country’s capital, Abuja. Ramhan Nansel, the spokesman for the police in Nasarawa, stated that all four victims are female. During the attack on the hostel, police operatives and troops promptly responded by conducting a search in the surrounding bushes. Unfortunately, they were unable to locate the abductors or the victims, Nansel reported. In an effort to rescue the students unharmed, authorities have initiated a comprehensive manhunt for the kidnappers.
