This move comes after the federal appeals court temporarily blocked the Biden administration’s plans to remove the razor wire fencing.
President Joe Biden’s administration is seeking the Supreme Court’s intervention in this matter.
The request for the Supreme Court’s intervention was made on Tuesday.
The razor wire fencing was originally placed by Texas to deter illegal border crossings.
Last month, a federal appeals court temporarily halted the Biden administration’s plans to remove the razor wire fencing.
