The Biden administration has requested the U.S. Supreme Court to step in after a federal appeals court halted the destruction of razor wire fencing along the Texas-Mexico border. The fencing was put in place by Texas to prevent illegal border crossings.
This move comes after the federal appeals court temporarily blocked the Biden administration’s plans to remove the razor wire fencing.
President Joe Biden’s administration is seeking the Supreme Court’s intervention in this matter.
The request for the Supreme Court’s intervention was made on Tuesday.
The razor wire fencing was originally placed by Texas to deter illegal border crossings.
Last month, a federal appeals court temporarily halted the Biden administration’s plans to remove the razor wire fencing.
