Body of homeless man found in drain in Batu Pahat

A homeless man was discovered deceased in a drain on Jalan Sultanah, Batu Pahat. Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah stated that the police received a report about a body found in a drain at 5pm on Thursday, August 24. The police, with the assistance of the fire and rescue department and the district Public Works Department, retrieved the body from the drain. It is believed that the man fell into the drain and drowned, as no signs of foul play were found on the body. The public has informed authorities that the victim was homeless and often seen in the vicinity. The case has been classified as sudden death.
