PETALING JAYA: The government will provide an interim payment of RM2,000 to civil servants Grade 56 and below as the salary and allowance scheme undergoes a review, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Budget 2024 speech on Friday (Oct 13). This payment will also be extended to those under contract.
Additionally, Anwar announced a RM1,000 allowance for all individuals in the Jawatan Utama Sektor Awam (Jusa) grade, which encompasses the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Armed Forces, and all uniformed personnel.
In his speech, Anwar also declared that RM1,000 will be granted to all retirees from the civil service.
