(Reuters) – The head of Sudan’s army said on Thursday that he supported efforts to bring an end to a devastating war in his country as long as they brought an end to the “occupation” of territory by the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
In an address to the U.N. General Assembly in New York, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan also said states in the region were providing funding, weapons and mercenaries to the RSF, though he did not name any country.
