The candidates and supporters participating in the Pulai and Simpang Jeram by-elections have been reminded to maintain public harmony during the campaign period, according to Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the ‘Johor way’ during the elections, urging all parties involved to campaign responsibly and ensure harmony prevails. Onn Hafiz cautioned against following the methods employed in other states and emphasized that Johor has its own distinct approach, which Bangsa Johor – the people of Johor – understand.
After the nomination day at Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim in Muar, Onn Hafiz, along with a large group of supporters, accompanied Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Simpang Jeram seat, Nazri Abdul Rahman. Onn Hafiz highlighted Nazri’s qualifications, stating that he is a local professional with 30 years of experience as an engineer in the Muar Municipal Council. He also stressed that Nazri has a proven track record of serving the people of Muar, particularly those in Simpang Jeram.
