    Chief Secretary leads list of 116 conferred awards in conjunction with King’s birthday

    PETALING JAYA: The Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar was among those who headed the list of awards conferred by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

    Shamsul was among the 116 awards recipients to mark His Majesty’s official birthday celebration on June 3.

    He was conferred the Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN), which carries the title Tan Sri.

    Also awarded the PMN were Armed Forces chief Tan Sri Mohammad Ab. Rahman and Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

    Also receiving their Tan Sri titles were Attorney-General Datuk Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh, Civil Service director-general Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, Federal Court judge Datuk Harmindar Singh Dhaliwal, CIMB Group Holdings Berhad group chairman Datuk Mohd Nasir Ahmad, Tenaga Nasional Berhad chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Majid and Malaysian Football Association president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin.

    The six were conferred the Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM), which also carries the title of Tan Sri.

    Meanwhile, Court of Appeal judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan, Home Ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Awang Alik Jeman, Education Ministry’s director-general Prof Dr Azlinda Azman

    and Royal Malaysian Navy acting chief vice admiral Datuk Zulhelmy Ithnain were conferred the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) which carries the title Datuk.

    Also receiving his Datukship was Armed Forces aide-de-camp Brig Gen Mohd Shawal Arbanyin who was awarded the Panglima Setia Diraja (PSD).

    The Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) was conferred on Polytechnic Education and Community College director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Zahari Ismail, Malaysian Productivity Corporation director-general Zahid Ismail and Federal Agriculture Marketing Board director-general Abdul Rashid Bahri.

    Skill Development director-general Zuleah Darsong was the sole recipient of the Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM).

    Those conferred the Johan Setia Diraja (JSD) award included the Foreign Ministry’s deputy secretary-general (Bilateral Relations) Datuk Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, Foreign Ministry’s deputy secretary-general (General Affairs) Datuk T. Bala Chandran and Culture and Arts Department director-general Mohd Amran Mohd Haris.

    The Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) was conferred on Health Ministry’s State Health (Dentistry) deputy-director Dr Cheng Lai Choo, Dental Health Programme deputy-director Dr R. Sheila Rani, Masjid Negara chief Imam Ehsan and Perak’s senior nazir Anuar Puteh Harun.

    Also awarded the KMN were the Prisons Department (Information Technology Division) director Rosnani Saion, Selangor Mediation Centre deputy registrar Dalwinder Singh, Immigration Department (Depot and Detainees Management Division) director Nor Azizah Mohamad, Inland Revenue Board (Company Tax Audit Unit) director C. Ravi.

    The KMN was also conferred on Bernama’s Strategic Planning Division chief Harlina Samson, Commanding Officer of the 21st Commando Col Razak Akob, National Defence Studies Centre director-general Capt B. Chandramohan, Royal Malaysian Air Force (Air and Doctrine Cooperation) director Col Mohmad Safhree Sidek, Police Special Branch E1 deputy-director SAC Zamri Hashim and Kedah police narcotic investigation department director-general ACP Mohd Taufik Maidin.

    The Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD) was conferred on the Culture and Arts Department’s (Products and Artistic Development Division) director Wan Din Wan Muhammad and police intelligence, operations and records division assistant director-general SAC Noor Delhan Yahaya.

    A total of 24 recipients were awarded the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN).

    Among those awarded included Chenderoh Community College director Meor M. Sharifuddin Meor Shukri, Examination Board’s senior assistant director-general Noor Azman Dahlan, Hospital Sultanah Aminah’s physiotherapy officer Nur Hidayah Ong Abdullah and Islamic Development Department’s assistant director-general Zakaria Othman.

    A total of 42 recipients were also awarded the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN).

    Among them were the Ceremonial and Secretariat Division’s IT assistant officer Azrin Sham Samsudin, National Institute of Public Administration’s assistant training consultant Rosilah Puteh, Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal office secretary Nor Amalina Omar Bakhi and Johor Treasury’s financial assistant administrator Addy Mulia Mohd Noor.

    The Pingat Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD) was conferred to recipients.

    Among them were Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal assistant administrators Shahidatul Lizma Slahamir, Norzilah Isa, Mohd Fauzi Ahmad and Amira Natasha Mazlan.

    The Royal Malay Regiment’s sports and physical coach Sgt Mazlan Abdul Rahman was the sole recipient of the Pingat Jasa Perkasa (JPP).
