On Sunday at the New York Fashion Week, Chinese brand JUZUI showcased its runway show, taking inspiration from the blossoming peony, a flower rooted in the East.
The creative director of JUZUI, Taoray Wang, incorporated colors popular in China’s Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) into her designs.
The presentation made a strong impact on the stage of the New York Fashion Week 2024, which is taking place from Feb. 9 to 14.
Wang expressed her excitement about incorporating peony into every design in the collection.
She also mentioned that besides dragon and phoenix, China has a wealth of beautiful elements that can captivate international audiences.
Model Maye Musk, who closed the show, remarked on the need for increased travel between the United States and China.
She believes that Americans traveling to China would be very impressed by what they see.
Musk also emphasized the importance of in-person interaction and exploration when trying to understand different cultures, stating that it’s always better to connect with people directly and become friends with them.
Established in 2001, JUZUI focuses on women’s fashion designs by drawing inspiration from Eastern elements, particularly the blossoming peony.
