According to Eric Iglesias, president of the National Association of Vehicle Dealers (Ancove), Chinese car brands are gaining popularity among consumers in Spain. He noted that the quality offered by established Chinese brands and their competitive prices are the main factors contributing to the increase in sales of Chinese cars in the country.
In August, the MG ZS SUV, a Chinese-made vehicle, became the best-selling car in Spain. This was the first time a Chinese car had achieved this feat in the country’s sales ranking. To the surprise of many, the MG ZS SUV repeated this achievement in September, further highlighting the growing popularity of Chinese cars in Spain.
Iglesias emphasized that the quality of Chinese-made cars is comparable, if not equal, to their European counterparts. He expressed his belief that the sales of Chinese cars will continue to grow in the future.
