Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has announced that it will be awarding contracts to China Gezhouba Group for the construction and maintenance of the South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project. Out of 10 companies that submitted their bids, the Chinese construction and engineering company offered the lowest price and met all the computational and technical requirements, according to the PAHW’s press statement.
The South Saad Al-Abdullah Housing Project is situated in Jahra Governorate and covers an area of around 6,400 hectares. It consists of five residential areas, which together have a total of 24,508 houses, as stated by the Authority.
China Gezhouba Group has quoted the project’s value as 345 million Kuwait dinars (equivalent to 1.12 billion U.S. dollars). He Baisen, the general manager of the Chinese company’s branch in Kuwait, has expressed their commitment to showcasing the speed and quality of China’s work to the Kuwaiti government and people, particularly those awaiting their homes.
