On Wednesday, the spotlight was on Chinese culture at a multicultural festival held by a co-educational school in Malta. The China Cultural Center in Malta impressed teachers and students from St Thomas More College Middle and Secondary School in Zejtun, Malta with a vibrant display of Chinese cultural activities.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in various Chinese cultural experiences, such as calligraphy, lantern-making, and trying on Hanfu, the traditional Chinese attire. This immersive experience allowed attendees to delve into a diverse range of Chinese cultural traditions.
A booth led by teacher Roberto Lia featured hairstyles and accessories from different countries, with a special focus on China’s Hanfu and traditional hairstyles. Lia expressed her admiration for ancient Chinese costumes and expressed interest in future visits to the China Cultural Center with her students to further enrich their cultural experiences.
Headmaster Adrian Galea highlighted the school’s dedication to promoting multicultural exchange and integration. He emphasized the festival’s importance in helping students gain a deeper understanding of different cultures, expand their horizons, and develop cross-cultural communication skills.
The multicultural festival, which began on Wednesday, is set to continue until March 15. Participants can look forward to more cultural activities and opportunities for cross-cultural learning.
