As of Tuesday, health authorities in Zambia reported that there have been 3,189 cumulative cases of cholera since the outbreak of the disease in January. The outbreak has spread beyond the four main districts in Lusaka Province, including the capital city of Lusaka, and has now affected other districts in the central part of the country.
President Hakainde Hichilema expressed his sadness over the outbreak of the disease on Monday and stated that he is working to make Zambia a cholera vaccine production hub.
