SEREMBAN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained a seven-day remand order on a civil servant suspected of providing false information in an application amounting to RM40,000.
The remand order was signed by Magistrate Fairuz Syuhada Amran following an application by the MACC here on Wednesday morning (July 24).
The suspect, in his 30s, will be remanded until July 30.
He was detained at around 7.15pm on Tuesday (July 23) at the Negri Sembilan MACC office here.
When contacted, state MACC director Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail confirmed the case.
He said the suspect will be probed under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
