Three men have been arrested by the police in connection with the assault of a motorcyclist following a traffic altercation in Jalan Langat-Klang.
According to South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong, the incident occurred at around 7.15pm on Sunday (Oct 1) when the 21-year-old victim honked at the suspects in a car for nearly hitting him while he was riding his motorcycle.
“The driver then blocked the victim at a traffic light at Jalan Langat-Klang. One of the suspects proceeded to get out of the car, push the victim, and punched him in the face, as well as kicked his stomach. The same suspect also kicked the victim’s motorcycle until it fell,” ACP Cha explained in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 3).
Following an investigation, the police arrested three men at approximately 6.30pm on Monday (Oct 2). The suspects, aged between 28 and 39 years old, were found to have prior records related to drug offenses. Additionally, the 39-year-old suspect tested positive for methamphetamine,” ACP Cha stated.
ACP Cha emphasized that the suspects will be remanded, and the investigating officer will soon complete the investigation. The case will then be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor.
